5: Alternate more advanced method of adding an attachment using Office 365.

The mailing system does not support attachments, however links to documents can be sent instead. This is common with the majority of mailing list systems.

All Sutton Scout users of the mailing list system, are members of the Newsletter Office 354 Team. If you need to include a link to a file or document in your mailing, then please upload it to the Office 365 Team area:

Start composing your email as per the help guide above:
Once you reach the stage of typing your email content, pause and follow the following instructions.

Open another tab in your browser.
Open MS Teams, either via office.com as shown below, or va the app.

Once in MS Teams, select "Mailing List Authors" and "General":

Than select "Files" from the top of the screen ad click on "Email Attachments":

Now upload the document by clicking on "Upload" followed by "Files":

Alternatively you can click on "New" to author a new document:
Either way, once you have your new document, however over the name, with your mouse and then click on the 3 little dots:

Click on "People you specify can edit":

Thank click "Can edit" and change to "Can view"

Double check that "Anyone with link can view" is selected and then Click on "Copy":

You link is copied.

Return to the Newsletter plugin tab and highlight the word you would like to make a link and then click on the link icon above:

Now paste the link you saved above in to the URL box and note the "Text to display", as your highlighted text :

You should now have a link in your email, you can click on the link to test it.
